UV IRRADIANCE AND UV INDEX METER
The AMT309 UV and UV Index meter measures ultraviolet irradiance and displays either UV irradiance or UV Index readings. Its sensor responds across the ultraviolet range defined by the instrument specifications, with cut-on and cut-off wavelengths of 280 ±10 nm and 400 ±10 nm. A clear LCD and simple controls make it practical for checking UV lamp output and recording readings over time.
This handheld UV meter includes live measurement, a hold function, average, maximum and minimum readings, and memory for up to 100 manually saved measurements. A 1/4-inch tripod socket supports mounting on a compatible tripod or selfie stick.
| Measurement Range | Measures ultraviolet irradiance from 0 to 5,000 μW/cm² |
| UV / UV Index | Switches between UV irradiance and UV Index readings |
| Hold Function | Captures readings with the hold function |
| Statistics | Shows average, maximum, and minimum values for dynamic measurements |
| Data Memory | Stores up to 100 readings for later review |
| Zero Adjustment | Provides zero-point adjustment through the CAL function |
| Mounting | Includes a 1/4-inch mounting socket for a tripod or compatible selfie stick |
| Auto Power-Off | Automatically shuts off after 3 minutes without operation |
Live measurement updates approximately once per second as the sensor position changes.
UV / UV Index selection lets the user switch the displayed reading with the MODE button.
Hold freezes the current reading; press HOLD again to resume live measurement.
Manual data logging stores up to 100 readings. The display shows the record index. Average, maximum, and minimum values are available for live measurements; these statistics do not include saved log records.
The record view lets the user browse stored readings, and the zero-point calibration function is available through CAL mode.
The AMT309 UV light meter can be used to monitor UV lamp irradiance and lamp aging. The instruction manual identifies applications including UV sterilization, reptile husbandry, indoor tanning, UV curing, and UV Index monitoring. Use it to check UV levels before outdoor activities, and to confirm that UVB output is suitable for vitamin D synthesis in people and animals.
