SINGLE-BEAM UV-VIS SPECTROPHOTOMETERS
The UV755B, UV756, UV759, V723N, and V7230G are single-beam spectrophotometers for absorbance, transmittance, energy, and quantitative analysis. Depending on the model, they cover ultraviolet and visible wavelengths or the visible range, with automatic wavelength setting and a 2 nm or 4 nm spectral bandwidth.
Use photometric mode to measure sample absorbance or transmittance. For quantitative analysis, build a standard curve from reference samples or enter known curve coefficients to calculate an unknown concentration. The instruments also store test data and standard curves, and can print data and curves.

At startup, the instrument checks the filter, lamp switch, detector, lamps, wavelength calibration, and dark calibration. A 20-minute warm-up is recommended; the manual also states that the warm-up can be skipped. Before measuring, perform zero calibration with the reference solution in the optical path. Dark-current calibration may be needed when ambient temperature, ambient light, or operating voltage changes.
For quantitative testing, create and save a standard curve from one to nine standards, select a stored curve, or enter the coefficient method parameters. The coefficient method calculates concentration using C = K × A + B. Use cuvettes with consistent optical quality when preparing a standard curve.
These spectrophotometers support routine photometric and concentration measurements. With the compatible PC software, the system can also be used for spectral scanning, kinetics, DNA and protein analysis, and multi-wavelength testing.
50 mm or 100 mm manual four-cell holder; automatic eight-cell holder; film holder; additional software described in the source as 21 CFR-compliant — confirm the software version and compliance scope for your intended use.
