Why PLA+?

PLA+ is an enhanced version of standard PLA filament, offering improved mechanical properties like increased strength, flexibility, and impact resistance compared to regular PLA. While both are biodegradable and easy to print, PLA+ is generally preferred for functional parts or prototypes requiring greater durability.

PLA and PLA+ have different temperature resistances. PLA typically has a heat deflection temperature of 50–60°C, while PLA+ (also known as Tough PLA) has a higher thermal resistance, usually up to 70°C. In essence, PLA is a great choice for general-purpose printing of items that don't need to withstand a lot of stress or high temperatures, whereas PLA+ is better when you need parts that are more durable, flexible, and can handle slightly higher temperatures.
